March 23: Opening of the Blue Planet
Queen Margrethe II and Prince Henrik, Prince Consort visited The Blue Planet yesterday, where Margrethe performed the official opening. The queen held at the event to speak and activated at the push of a button, sound and lighting system, and removed a canvas whereby the aquarium's largest tank, Oceaniet, was revealed.

News About Prince Joachim's Hand
Like I posted today Prince Joachim had a bandage over his hand. Apparently, Joachim had surgery on his hand and fingers on March 12, 2013.
The Danish royal court said that it's "...a hereditary disorder and it is the same condition the Prince Consort suffered from which resulted in him also undergoing surgery as well. Prince Joachim’s surgery went well and he is doing well."

Day 3 of the Trip to Chile
Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary visited the former house of Chilean poet Pablo Neruda at Isla Negra, a coastal area in central Chile.
Crown Princess Mary wore a pair of earrings from Marianne Dulong, bracelets from Marianne Dulong, rings from Marianne Dulong. She wore a dress from Alberta Ferretti. She had a pair of shoes from Christian Louboutin, and a clutch from Carland Copenhagen.
Mary also wore this outfit to visit a school which has a 'Danish' children's library in Valparaiso.
At the end of the day, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attend the opening of an exhibition by Asger Jorn at the Museo de Bella Artes.
Mary wore a dress from Elise Gug, she wore a pair of earrings from Ole Lynggaard and a pair of shoes from Prada.

Day 1 and 2 of the Trip to Chile
Day 1
Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary visited the Quebrada de Macul nature park in Santiago.
Mary wore a Diane Von Furstenberg dress (worn on her trip to Australia in 2011), Mary wore a pair of red earrings. Mary also wore a turquoise and ruby bracelet.

During the inauguration will crown prince activate the machine, the machine will begin to assemble and install pumps. Then there is the managing director Guillermo Wehmann and reception.

Crown Prince visits with representatives of Danish companies in the health care private hospital Clínica Alemana, is nominated for Latin America's second best hospital. Crown Princess visit with a Spanish school class the "Danish" children's library in Valparaíso, which 10 years ago was created by the Danish school teacher Anne Hansen. Announcing the launch of three new Danish children's books in Spanish, children library manager Anne Hansen read from one of the books and Crown Princess answer questions from school children. Crown Princess distribute copies of the book to school children and presented using guided tour of the library for a child container project.

Crown Prince visits by poet Pablo Neruda's home and presented to a Danish-Chilean poetry project where five Danish and five Chilean poets have worked together in Pablo Neruda's house on translation and publication of a Danish-Chilean poetry anthology. Following the visit, the royal couple see the poet's grave.
Maersk Container Industry at 15.25
Crown Prince inspect Maersk Container Industry in San Antonio, where a refrigerated container factory is under construction. The factory, which is the largest Danish investment in Chile to date and the first of its kind in South America, to serve the market throughout the continent, where there is great demand for food transport refrigerated. After inspection of a refrigerated container to Crown Prince Couple display the area where the plant will be erected.

The Crown Prince Couple participate in the opening of Asger Jorn exhibition at the Museo de Bella Artes, Chile's national museum. The Crown Prince and Crown Princess will be presented exhibition, which consists of about 100 works by the Danish artist.

Crown Prince visits by the European Southern Observatory, Paranal, in Chile's desert area, 130 km south of Antafogasta and 2635 meters above sea level. Royal Couple will during the visit display the center's telescopes. At sunset, the royal couple have showcased survey telescope and with such Danish astronomers see and explore space.
Denmark has since 1966 been part of European cooperation ESO and supports the annual organization of the research.
